Turkey Bacon and Oka Linguine

Prep time 20 minutes       Cook time 20 minutes       Serves 4 persons

Ingredients

 Select the items you need and print a shopping list.
1 lb. Butterball turkey, cooked9 bacon slices, cut into thin strips and cooked2 Tbsp. olive oil1 onion, chopped1 red bell pepper, diced1 clove garlic, finely chopped1 cup 15% cooking cream½ cup Oka cheese, grated1 lb. linguini, cooked al dente2 Tbsp. fresh parsley, finely chopped2 Tbsp. fresh chives, finely choppedSalt and pepper

Directions

  1. In a skillet, fry bacon in a little olive oil until crispy and golden. Set aside on a paper towel.

  2. In the same pan, sauté onions and bell peppers until tender. Add a little oil if necessary. Add garlic and continue cooking 1 minute.
  3. Add turkey and continue cooking 1 to 2 minutes to heat up turkey.
  4. Add cream and cheese. Continue cooking 5 minutes or until thickened.
  5. Pour over pasta and garnish with parsley and chives.
