Steamed Turkey Buns

Ingredients

1 Butterball Easy Fresh bone-in turkey breast2 cups hoisin sauce2 Tbsp. garlic powder2 Tbsp. ginger1 Tbsp. chilli flake1 Tbsp. sesame oil2 Tbsp. maple syrup2 Tbsp. red wine vinegar3 large carrots, peeled and finely sliced3 red apples, peeled and sliced2 red onions, finely sliced1 cup Japanese mayo2 bunches scallion, sliced1 package frozen Bao buns

Directions

  1. Combine 1 cup hoisin sauce with garlic powder, ginger powder, chili flakes, sesame oil, maple syrup and red wine vinegar. Marinate bone-in turkey breast for minimum 2 hours, up to overnight.

  2. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  3. Remove turkey from marinade and roast for approximately 45 minutes, or until reaching an internal temperature of 165°F. Remove from oven and finely slice.
  4. Heat large steamer over a medium-high heat. Steam the buns for 10 - 15 minutes. Once puffed up, remove from steamer and fill with sliced turkey, carrots, apple, onions, and scallion. Top with Japanese mayo and additional hoisin.
