Savoury Turkey Croissants

Ingredients

Select the items you need and print a shopping list.

2 slices Butterball Applewood Turkey Bacon1 croissant1 Tsp. butter1 slice old cheddar2-4 slices Bartlett or Bosc pear1 Tbsp. honey1/2 cup baby arugula

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.

  2. Slice croissant and place it on a cookie sheet covered with parchment paper.
  3. Put sliced old cheddar on top of one half.
  4. Place croissant in oven for 10-15 minutes, until warm and cheese is melted.
  5. Meanwhile, cook bacon in a non-stick frying pan on medium or medium-low heat for 7 minutes.
  6. In a separate pan, cook pear slices in butter for 5-10 minutes, until tender.
  7. Top melted cheese croissant half with bacon, cooked pear and arugula.
  8. Drizzle with honey and add other croissant half on top.
  9. Optional: If you’re into adding some bitterness to your breakfast sandwich, you can spread some Dijon mustard on the top half of the croissant.
