Jerk BBQ Turkey Drum with Papaya Salsa

Ingredients

4 Butterball Turkey Drumsticks1 tsp nutmeg2 tsp clove1 tsp cinnamon2 tsp garlic powder2 tsp dehydrated onion 2 tsp thyme1 tsp chili powder1 tsp black pepper1 c olive oil½ c molasses1 papaya, cubed2 garlic cloves, finely minced1 chili pepper, finely minced½ red onion, chopped2 limes, juiced and zested½ c olive oil2 tsp salt½ mint, chopped

Directions

  1. Combine nutmeg, clove, cinnamon, garlic powder, dehydrated onion, thyme, chili powder, black pepper, olive oil and molasses.  Set aside a small portion of the marinade for basting the drumsticks on the grill.

  2. Rub mixture all over Butterball Turkey Drumsticks. Let Butterball Turkey Drumsticks marinate in the refrigerator for a minimum of 30 minutes or overnight
  3. Place Butterball Turkey Drumsticks on grill. Cook Butterball Turkey Drumsticks until meat thermometer reads 165°F (74°C) approximately for 20-25 minutes on medium to high heat turning frequently to not burn
  4. Mix cubed papaya, minced garlic cloves, minced chili pepper, chopped red onions, lime juice, olive oil and salt to taste.
  5. Sprinkle with mint
