Brie and Apple Turkey Burgers

Ingredients

2 Butterball Turkey Burgers1 yellow onion, sliced2 Tbsp olive oil2 Tbsp sugar¼ white wine (or water) as needed1 green apple, sliced1 oz brie cheese, sliced1 Tbsp store bought BBQ sauceArugula

Directions

  1. Add 2 tbsp of olive oil to a pan on low-medium heat, add sliced onions and fry until softened and golden, about 15-20 minutes. Add sugar and stir onions, adding in 1/4 cup of wine or water if needed to dissolve the sugar. Leave on low heat until you serve.

  2. Preheat BBQ to medium high Lightly coat both sides of the burgers in olive oil. Add burgers to BBQ and cook the burgers for 7-9 minutes on each side with the lid closed, or until the center of the burger reaches 165°F/74°C on a meat thermometer.
  3. Assemble your burger starting with a brioche bun, add 1 tbsp of BBQ sauce, the turkey burger, brie cheese, apple slides, caramelized onions, and a handful of arugula. Serve & enjoy!
