6 Butterball Turkey Burgers6 brioche buns, toasted1 white onion, thinly sliced½ cup pickles, sliced6 slices cheddar cheese½ cup Japanese Kewpie Mayonnaise (can substitute with regular mayonnaise)2 cups iceberg lettuce, thinly sliced

Chili Crisp Ketchup:

1 cup tomato paste½ cup white vinegar½ cup water2 Tbsp chili crisp2 Tbsp sugar1 tsp salt¼ tsp garlic powder¼ tsp onion powder

Directions

  1. Begin with your Chili Crisp Ketchup. In a pot, combine tomato paste, vinegar, water, chili crisp, sugar, salt, garlic powder, and onion powder.  Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce and simmer on low for 5 minutes.

  2. Remove from heat and allow to cool completely (this can be done the day before and keeps in the fridge for several days).
  3. When ready to grill, preheat your greased grill over medium high heat. Add burgers (from frozen) and grill for 7-9 minutes. Flip, then spread ketchup on each burger. Grill for another few minutes, then top each burger with a slice of cheese.
  4. Close the grill, allowing the cheese to melt. Open grill and ensure that the burgers have reached an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C), then remove.
  5. To assemble burgers, spread mayo on each bun. Add lettuce, a burger, onions, and pickles.  Spread some chili crisp ketchup, then close.  Repeat until all burgers are assembled and enjoy!
