Orange, Rosemary Turkey Roast

Ingredients

1 Butterball turkey breast roast (approx. 3 lbs.) ⅓ cup salted butter, softenedZest of 1 orange2 Tbsp fresh rosemary, finely chopped2 cloves garlic, mincedjuice of 1 orange2 tsp salt1 tsp freshly ground black pepper

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F/163°C (or as directed on package).

  2. In a small bowl, mix butter, orange zest, rosemary, and garlic to create compound butter.
  3. Place roast on roasting rack inside Dutch oven or roasting pan.
  4. Squeeze orange juice over roast, and place squeezed halves in the pot for added flavour.
  5. Season roast with salt and pepper.
  6. Spread compound butter evenly over the entire surface of the roast.
  7. Roast according to package instructions, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F/74°C at the thickest part.
  8. Remove from oven and let rest for 10 minutes before removing the netting and slicing. Enjoy!
